Breast Feeding Research:
New breast pumping technique helps preemies moms to improve milk supply

Scientists Find A Common Link Of Breast Milk, Bird Flocks, And Trust What do flocks of birds have in common with trust, monogamy, and even breast milk? According to a new report in the journal Science, they are regulated by virtually identical neurochemicals in the brain, known as oxytocin in mammals and mesotocin in birds.
Breast Milk Should Be Fed To Baby At The Same Time Of Day That It Is Expressed A new study published in the journal Nutritional Neuroscience shows how this breast milk timing could help newborn babies to sleep.
Breast Milk May Help Prevent Stomach Illnesses and Other Diseases In Babies And Adults Certain sugars in breast milk could be developed into treatments that help fight necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), a potentially deadly disease that affects about 10 percent of premature infants. Some types of sugars in breast milk appear to prevent bacterial infections, including those that cause severe diarrhea.
